Through personal development, we were able to understand that we need a personal development plan which should outline what needs to be learned and how to accomplish it.

we may need support from your mentors, managers, supervisors, and friends. A personal development plan is a way to review progress, gain support and agree on objectives. Performance appraisals are not above finding a weakness in our practice and chastising you for them rather your superior brainstorm with you on your performance. Identifying the kind of support that helps reach higher levels, also helps to develop your own knowledge or skills into the bargain. It’s based on the partnership above with your manager and you working together to mark a way forward with the team.

Formal professional development plans, we were meant to understand that formal professional plans and formal appraisal plans are a good way for the organization to keep a tab of the staff, professional development also could be used to motivate staff and provide a good way for staff to communicate with their own personal needs and ambition.

under the case study of Hannah, she was able to identify her weakness and improve on it by attending online training and courses in which HR manager supported her and which she was promoted her.

Heloise and barbara, we were able to understand our duties as care givers that we need to raise our concerns about other staff’s behaviors and wrong doing or anything else that may put jeopardize safety and wellbeing.

Importance of reporting concerns, we learned that health and social workers must protect patients from harm and promote dignity through a transparent and open culture.

How to report a concern, we were made to understand that reporting concern is dependent on the organization local and regional area is by talking to our superior, HR department to learn what the process of reporting a concern or through the whistleblowing helpline of a professional body
