The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 is law, having received Royal Assent on 3 April 2025, but its substantive requirements are not yet in force. The SIA currently expects the Act to come into force in spring 2027, with the exact commencement date to be confirmed.
The Act does not prescribe completion of a particular named or accredited “Martyn’s Law course”. Instead, responsible persons must meet the statutory requirements applying to qualifying premises and events.
