Learn about a 66 year old Parkinson’s patient with a 10 year history of tremors.u00a0
A 65 year old man has a 10 year history with hand and head tremors. The patient felt that his tremors had advanced severely and are now impairing everyday functions such as eating and drinking from a cup.
The patients medical team preformed a variety of tests to determine if Parkinson's disease could be the cause of his tremors.
The team preformed both a physical and neurological exam on the patient. The tests revealed slightly stooped posture, masking of facial features, tremors involving predominantly the right extremities, and more.
Based on the medical teams findings, they determined the patient to be diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and devised a treatment plan of medication and rehabilitative therapy.
