MRSA: Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus

MSSA : Meticllin-senstitive Staphylococcus aureus

Aureus can lead to severe infections when the bacteria spreads to the bloodstream. It may cause a range of illnesses including skin and wound infections, abscesses, joint infections, endocarditis, pneumonia, UTIs, and bacteraemia.

MRSA and MSSA can cause symptoms such as:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Warmth
  • Aches and Pain
  • Pus
  • High temperature (38C or above)
  • Chills
  • Dizziness/Confusion

C.difficile: Clostridium difficile

A C.difficile infection often develops when you are taking antibiotics or when you have finished taking them. Symptoms can include:

  • Fever
  • Loss of appetite
  • Stomach pain
  • Signs of dehydration

The symptoms of norovirus typically begin within 1-2 days of being infected. Symptoms include:

  • Nausea
