Ensures that organisations maintain the protection of data, ensuring that personal data held by organisations is kept confidential for no longer than necessary, and that data is accurate.u00a0
Safeguarding adults means promoting people’s welfare and keeping them safe from harm and abuse. People with mental health needs, dementia, and learning disabilities are particularly vulnerable.u00a0
Describes the fundamental standards of quality and safety that people using health and social care services can expect
Sets out the government’s plans to improve people’s mental health in England, including identifying the support, are services that are available.u00a0
Ensures that processes are followed ensuring that people are not inappropriately treated or detained, including those with mental health conditions, dementia, or learning disabilities. People with serious mental health needs can be treated without their consent if necessary to ensure they do not harm themselves or others.u00a0
Provides legal protection from discrimination in the workplace and in society for people with protected characteristics, which include disabilities. The Act also requires that reasonable adjustments should be made in the workplace.u00a0
